I watched Toonami last night and it was so awesome! Brought back so many memories watching Gundam Wing, Tenchi Muyo and Outlaw Star. I miss it so much!

What makes it all great isn’t just seeing TOM or all the best shows Toonami had to offer. It’s knowing that the guys in charge haven’t forgotten.

still haven’t slept. worth it!

I Know That Feel, Bro by Chris Gerringer

Chris Gerringer knows that feel. And it turns out, several different characters from across the geek globe know that feel too, linking them in ways that brings them all closer together. Whether it’s mourning dead parents with Batman and Harry Potter, tight living spaces with Pikachu and Aladdin’s Genie, or the demoted scientific status of the Triceratops and Pluto. I know most (hip) people have probably seen some of these before, but Chris’ series is so endearing and so right fucking on that it deserves one last look. I hope you know that feel too.

To raise awareness about the #millionhoodies march and general online campaign [elon james] posted the picture below on [his] social networks. This was the response on one of them.[REDACTED]: Um no. This guy IS suspicious. I would totally purse clutch and traffic dodge to avoid and I’m not sure of the message here. March for hoodies?[REDACTED]: I grasp the point racism is rasicm, no dress code needed. But we need to watch our PR and how our message is distributed. The above is not helping or helpful to disseminate the message. It’s an image of a thug in a hoodie. Treyon was not a thug, he was a child and this is the image that should be used. And the main goal is to make the “point” as EASY to grasp as possible. We can march and protest and leverage petitions, but if our attitude is, “read between the lines to get my point”, then we move no one. We also need to utilize the most powerful, personable images we have. This guy is not one of them.Elon James White: Oh HI [REDACTED] I’m the image of the “Thug in a hoodie.” Do you know who I am? Do you know what I do? You said that THAT’s an image of a thug in a hoodie and TREYVON WASNT A THUG. Ma’am, I’m not a thug. I’m an engaged political commentator with a background in I.T. I throw dinner parties and build studios from scratch. But YOU saw a thug in a hoodie. Do you understand the problem now?

Love it. Love it. Love it.

Fuck everything.

I am disgusted.

I’m shaking. I really, really try not to get preachy and political here on my blog. Its meant to be the things I enjoy and obsess over. But this. This enrages me. “It’s an image of a thug in a hoodie”A thug. In a hoodie. What in the flying fuck screams ‘thug’ about the man in the picture? WHAT? Please, tell me. He isn’t scowling, or being otherwise aggressive, he isn’t holding a weapon or in the act of hurting/stealing/vandalizing/destroying… he’s sitting there. Simply sitting there. I’m just… I’m furious right now. How is he not powerful and personable? HOW IS HE SUSPICIOUS? Because he isn’t clean shaven? Because he’s in a hoodie (which, you know, is the point of the movement)? Because hes black? Yeah, I’m pretty sure its the last one.
I can’t… I’ve got to stop before I start ranting and raving.
